湯艷杰，男，1973年生，河南南陽人，長江大學(xué)二級(jí)教授，博士生導(dǎo)師，中國礦物巖石地球化學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)地幔專業(yè)委員會(huì)委員。先后主持7項(xiàng)國家級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目，包括國家自然科學(xué)基金項(xiàng)目、中國科學(xué)院知識(shí)創(chuàng)新工程和國家973項(xiàng)目二級(jí)子課題，以及國家重點(diǎn)研發(fā)計(jì)劃課題等。已發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文110篇，其中SCI收錄論文80余篇。2017年獲國家杰出青年基金資助。
主要從事大陸巖石圈地幔特征與演化過程、深部-淺部多圈層耦合作用研究。將新興的鋰同位素示蹤技術(shù)與傳統(tǒng)巖石學(xué)和地球化學(xué)研究方法相結(jié)合，揭示了華北巖石圈地幔經(jīng)歷俯沖洋殼衍生熔體和軟流圈熔體的多期改造過程，為認(rèn)識(shí)大陸巖石圈地幔的演化規(guī)律提供了新證據(jù)；發(fā)現(xiàn)火山巖中營養(yǎng)元素含量變化與陸地生物群演化的相關(guān)性，揭示區(qū)域構(gòu)造和深部過程對(duì)陸地生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的潛在影響。
